Wilma Lee Corkren Self, age 63 of Haleyville, Alabama, formerly of Brilliant, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama.
She was born on Feb. 2, 1960 in Haleyville, Alabama to Lomax “Boone” and Lorene Jobe Corkren. She was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Dwayne Satterwhite will officiate.
Wilma is survived by her son, Shane (Terry Lynn) Davis; daughter, Nita Hubbard; grandchildren, Briana Hubbard (Austin Ingle), Jamaal Hubbard, Jada Hubbard, Jason Heath (Kaitlyn Grace) Self, Cassandra Holder, and Aaron Holder; great grandkids, Bryson Self, Finnick Ingle, Jason Self, Stetson Ingle, Ari Ingle, Destiny, Krisslyn, Caroline, Addi, and Garrett; and one sister, Linda Corkren Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Sandra Corkren Washburn; and niece, Amy Fell Hobbs.
