John Franklin Claborn, age 76, of Houston, passed away April 19, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital.
He was born Dec. 15, 1946 in Houston, Alabama. He loved the Lord and enjoyed studying the Bible. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Barnett Chapel Cemetery. Brother Heath Hood and Brother James Hood will officiate.
John is survived by his daughter, Cheri Claborn League; sons, Jonathan Claborn (Stephanie) and Ben Claborn (Heather); sister, Geraldine Jetton; grandchildren, Brandon Claborn (Kari), Stephanie League, Logan Claborn, Mason Claborn, Cole Claborn, Calli Claborn, and Clara Claborn; and great grandchild, Ryan Claborn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Minnie Claborn; brother, Billy Claborn; and sisters, Christine Meador and Willodean Gilliland.
