Judy Lee Cutcher, 79, of Arley, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023 at her residence.

She was born Nov. 25, 1943 in Cullman, Alabama. Judy lived a life of giving and service, to her family, to her church, and her community. Her family was always her first priority, but they were especially her pride and joy. Her greatest joy was watching her children grow and then watching her grandchildren come into the world. Judy managed 5 chicken houses for 30 years, primarily by herself while raising 3 kids. Judy was also involved in her church, where she taught Sunday School and was involved in the vacation Bible school program from teaching to being the director. She had a true servant’s heart.

Judy was blessed with 15 grandkids that she adored and had a huge hand in raising. As if life couldn’t get any sweeter, God added 10 great-grands to the herd. Of course, to Judy she felt blessed beyond measure. The legacy she leaves behind is long and full of love.

Judy wasn’t a world traveler, but she loved the beach and the smoky mountains to which she visited every chance she got. Judy was not what you would call an adventurer, but she was always up for anything the grandkids wanted to do. Her happiness was through them. Her life was lived for her family and her Lord which is evident from her beauty inside and out. She will be missed by many her on earth, but Heaven has gained a precious soul.

Judy is survived by her son, Billy Joe Cutcher Jr; daughter, Teresa (Tommy) Jones; son, Ricky (Jamie) Cutcher; grandchildren, Kasey (Chris) Woods, Hannah (Cody) Cutcher-Terry, Blake (Caitlyn) Jones, Haley (Jake) Seymore, Garrett Cutcher, Ben (Sara) Cutcher, Dylan (Katie) Jones, Tyler Cutcher, Zeb (Anna) Cutcher, Gavin Jones, Emma Cutcher, Molly King, Graicen King, Aubrey Cutcher; great-grandchildren, Naomi Wissinger, Houston Seymore, Haven Jones, Alaina Cutcher, Brynlee Terry, Aliyah Cutcher, Henry Seymore, John Wheeler Terry, Thomas Matthew (TJ) Jones, Baby Jones; brother, JT (Myrl) Kilpatrick; sister-in-law, Shelby Kilpatrick; brother, Danny (Jackie) Kilpatrick; brother, Donnie (Brenda) Kilpatrick; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil E. and Dorothy A. Kilpatrick; husband, Billy Joe Cutcher; brother, Terry Kilpatrick; and grandson, Hunter Cutcher.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Addison, where the service will be held at 1 p.m. Brother Samuel Tucker and Brother Steton Hayes will officiate. Burial will follow in adjoining cemetery.
