Obituary: Brady Kilgo

Reverend Brady Kilgo, age 84 of Hanceville, entered the Heavenly Gates on Saturday, August 13, 2022. He was born on February 21, 1938, in Cullman to Ottis Frank Kilgo and Minnie Leonia Phillips Kilgo. Rev. Kilgo was a minister of the gospel for 42 years serving in churches in Blount and Cullman Counties. He retired from Hays International after 38 years and enjoyed working his farm as a pastime. He was a member of the Trimble Masonic Lodge and had just received his 50-year pin. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ottis and Minnie Kilgo. He leaves to cherish his loving memory by his wife of 66 years: Glenda Freeman Kilgo; children: Michael (Cathy) Kilgo, Jerome (Kathy) Kilgo, Miranda (Tee) Williams and Kimberly Kilgo Frink; grandchildren: Wesley (Rhonda) Kilgo, Amber (Michael) Payne, Crystal (Jassen) Anthony, Cynthia (Richie) Penn, Chris (Erin) Kilgo, Shawn (Rebecca) Kilgo, Tyler (Stephanie) Kilgo, Samantha (Grant) Banks, Todaisha (Hannah) Williams, Joshua Stephen Woodard and Sarah Denise Osborne; great grandchildren: Whitley Evon and Barrett Case Kilgo; Blake, Danielle and Dustin Payne, Noah Andrew Vickers, Grace Anthony, Adilee Kay, Mary Beth and Henry Kyle Penn, Mariah Williams, Emma Grace and Christopher Lane Kilgo, Triston Alexander and Brylee Kaytlin Kilgo, Amanda Jade, Helana Rose and Madeline Rae Kilgo, Kaylee Anne and Alyssa Faith Banks, Sage Lavender Woodard; great-greatgrandchildren: Carter Payne, Easton and Selena Castro, Paisley and Kinsley Payne.; brothers, Loyal (Jenell) Kilgo and Delwin (Francis) Kilgo; sister, Leonia Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at noon at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Earl Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson’s Grove Cemetery in Bremen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Kilgo, Shawn Kilgo, Tyler Kilgo, Richie Penn, Joshua Woodard and Grant Banks.
