Caden Allen Rodgers, 19, of Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away on August 1, 2022. He was born in Cullman, Alabama, on December 11, 2002, to David Allen Marler and Amanda Rodgers Ford.

Caden was a young man with a heart for Jesus. He was compassionate towards others and never held a grudge. He loved to camp, hike, kayak, bike, and enjoyed being in nature. Caden had an adventurous spirit, and he knew no fear. Caden was employed with Rock and Roll Sushi in Cullman and attended Holly Pond School from kindergarten. Caden loved his family and friends with a passionate and fierce kind of love. His absence leaves an emptiness in the lives of his family and friends, and he will be forever remembered for his beautiful free spirit.

Caden is preceded in death by his grandparents: Reda Rodgers, Ronnie Marler; and his brother: Colby Ford.

He is survived by his father: David Marler; mother: Amanda Ford (Chuck McDonald); grandparents: Donald Rodgers (Violene Kelley), Sandra Brokus (Robert); sister: Karli Marler; brother at heart: Ethan Burnham; aunts and uncles: Dana Edwards (Lee), James Chapman (Susan), Tracy Chapman, Kerry Canaday (Bryan); cousins: Camerin Otto Canaday, Kevin Giadrosich, Serra Giadrosich, Garrett Henry, Lydia Chrietzberg (Nick), Sarah Chapman, Brady Chapman, Kenya Crandle, Kayla Crandle, Katie Susskin, Briley Chapman, Jayden Chapman, Memphis Chapman , Reda Kretschmar; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services for Caden are 5 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Joe Comer officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Pond Cemetery where Ethan Burnham, Parker Kelsoe, Axil Billings, Ben Heatherly, Eli Ray, and Anthony Knopp will serve as pallbearers for Caden. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 p.m., Saturday until services begin at 5 p.m.
