CULLMAN, Ala. – Registration for Camp Cullman is currently underway through the Cullman Parks Recreation and Sports Tourism.

Camp Cullman is a summer day camp program where campers enjoy field trips, crafts, sports, swimming and many other activities. Leah Waldrop, Marketing and PR director, said the parks department is ready to get back to two session day camps.

“The goal of Camp Cullman is to provide a safe environment for children ages 6-13 to have a fun and exciting break,” Waldrop said. “Two sessions are available for Camp Cullman—a session in June and a session in July. Campers can be a part of just one or both sessions.”

Session one of Camp Cullman will run from June 6 to July 1 while Session two will run from July 11 to August 5. Each session is held Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Waldrop explained the cost per child per session is $600.

“A $20 per session discount for a second child while each additional child beyond two receive a $25 discount,” she said. “A $300 deposit is due upon registration while the remaining one-third payments are due by April 20 and May 15.”

The camp is open to children ages 6 to 13 and will be held at Grace Chapel Youth Center. Parents or guardians will drop-off and pick-up at this facility each day.

“Camp Cullman is broken into smaller groups that are sorted by age so that activities are age appropriate,” she said. “Snacks for each child can be purchased on site or sent from home.”

Registration is currently open at cullmanrecreation.org. Any questions can be sent to Kelly Pulliam at kpulliam@cprst.org

A parent meeting will be held on June 2, 2022 at Grace Chapel Youth Center for those who have registered their children.
