Obituary: Ethel Dean ‘Deannie’ Geiger

Ethel Dean ‘Deannie’ Geiger, 89, of Cullman, Alabama, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 23, 2022. She was born March 23, 1932, in Johns, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Ethel E. and Eula Belle Collier Mosley.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Geiger; her parents and two sisters: Doris Hemphill and Maxine Mosley.

Survivors include two brothers: Charles (Elizabeth) Mosley of Cullman and Fred (Claudia) Mosley of San Antonio, TX; a son: Jeff (Heather) Massey of San Antonio; a stepson: Jim (Bonnie) Geiger of Coral Springs, FL; two stepdaughters: Karen and Deborah Geiger of San Antonio and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

She was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church of Cullman. She taught a children’s Sunday school class at Park Hills Baptist Church in San Antonio for many years. God gave her a love for flowers, and she used this gift to enhance the worship services by making floral arrangements for many years.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Cullman Heritage Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Cullman Heritage Cemetery. Bro. Eric Martin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mark Moore, Michael Swanson, Don Shrewsbury and J.T. Ivy.
