Laverne Gladys Hulsey, age 89, of Haleyville, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
She was born on June 5, 1932 in Alabama. Laverne was a dedicated member of the Revival Center Church of God.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville, Alabama. Brother Joseph Martin will officiate.
Laverne is survived by her sons: Gene Hulsey and his wife: Kelly, Joe Hulsey and his wife Karen; grandchildren: Ben Hulsey and his wife Whitney, BJ Hulsey and his wife Raven, Jessie McCreless and her husband Kaleb and Katie Hulsey; great-grandchildren: Hudson, Granger and Brennett; brother: Grady Harrison and his wife Linda; sister: Yvonne Pendley; sister-in-law: Janice Harrison and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Aaron and Lona Harrison; son: Perry Hulsey; granddaughter: Chasity Hulsey; brothers: John, K.C., Bobby and LB Harrison and sister-in-law: Faye Harrison.
