Hilda Jeanette Wakefield, age 75, of Double Springs, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her residence.
Jeanette was born on February 5, 1946 in Lawrence County, Alabama. She loved gardening, Alabama football, reading and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home – Double Springs. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Cemetery (King School House) in Natural Bridge, AL.
Jeanette is survived by her son: Kenny (Jennifer) Waid; grandsons: Ben Waid, Brett (Jennifer) Waid, Ryan Waid and Austin Perdew; great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Reid, Sawyer, Charlee and Owen; brother: Roger Wilson and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Wendell Wakefield; parents: Lee and Clezelle Wilson; brother: Wendelle Wilson and son: Keith Waid.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Waid, Brett Waid, Ben Waid, Mark Williams and Greg Wilson.
