Monette Willene Flippo, age 89, of Hackleburg, formerly of West Blocton, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021. Monette was born on January 28, 1932 to Clifford and Tera Frederick.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Bessemer, Alabama. Reverend James Yielding will officiate.
Monette is survived by her daughters: Beverly Clark and Tina Yielding and her husband: James Yielding; daughter-in-law: Pam Flippo; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Alice and her husband Bob James, and Marian Babb; brother: Dwight and his wife Becky Fredrick and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Gene Flippo Sr.; son: Eugene Flippo, Jr.; father and mother: Clifford and Tera Frederick; sister: Geraldine Culberson and brother-in-law: Glen Babb.
