Annie Ruth (Newsom) Rohrscheib, age 81, of Vinemont, Alabama passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Annie was born March 21, 1940 in Vinemont, Alabama to Jessie Lee and Vanera Marie Mardis Newsom.
Annie is survived by her daughter: Anita (Shannon Lee) Rohrscheib-Kelley; her sons: Patrick Lee (Tonya) Rohrscheib and Ashley Lynn (Monica) Rohrscheib; her sister: Betty Jean (Gene) Leipert; her brother: Dennis Marion (Barbara) Newsom; her grandchildren: Payton Rohrscheib, Lance (Mallory) Rohrscheib, Mary Ashley (Eric) Sweeny, Ashton Kelley and Karessa Kelley and her great-grandchildren: Ayden Rohrscheib, Evelynn Rohrscheib and Ryker Rohrscheib.
Annie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years: Donald Lee Rohrscheib; her parents; her sister: Faye Nell Letson and her brother: Willard Lee Newsom.
A celebration of life visitation for Annie will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Vinemont Baptist Church (787 County Road 1343, Vinemont, AL 35179). A celebration of life funeral service will occur at 1:00 p.m. An interment to follow at Vinemont Baptist Cemetery.
She will be missed by the Vinemont community, where many knew her as she worked for many years at the lunchroom, feeding the students of Vinemont School. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
