PREP SWIMMING: CHS Swim Team competes at Pirate Invitational

BOAZ, Ala. – The Cullman High School Swim Team had a great night in Boaz last Thursday at the inaugural Pirate Invitational meet which hosted some of the best teams in the state.  Among the 11 competing schools, the CHS girls team finished third overall behind 7A powerhouse programs James Clemens and Bob Jones. The CHS guys finished fifth overall. Top event finishes included the following:

  • Madison Clements – 1st place in the 200-yard freestyle (school record) and 2nd in the 100-yard backstroke
  • Ruby Hudson – 2nd in the 100-yard breaststroke and 3rd in the 200-yard Individual Medley
  • Chase Duncan – 3rd in the 100-yard backstroke
  • 2nd Place – Women’s 400 Freestyle Relay (Morgan Fuller, Ruby Hudson, Anna Page, and Madison Clements)
  • 3rd Place – Women’s 200 Medley Relay (Morgan Fuller, Ruby Hudson, Anna Page, and Madison Clements)

The Cullman High School Swim Team has one remaining regular season meet, the North Alabama Championship, next Saturday in Albertville.
