VERNON, Ala. – The Cold Springs Eagles were back on the road for another regional matchup Friday night but unfortunately for Eagles fans, the Bulldogs were in control from start to finish and sent Cold Springs home with a 39-0 loss.

After a mostly scoreless opening quarter, Lamar County got on the board in the final minute of the first to make it a 7-0 game going into the second. The Bulldogs added to their lead in the second quarter, tacking on two more touchdowns to make it a 20-0 game going into the halftime break.

Lamar County found the end zone again midway through the third quarter to stretch the lead to 26-0 and put seven more points on the board late in the period to make it a 33-0 game going into the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs were able to score one more time in the final frame and the Eagles were unable to find the end zone, falling on the road 39-0.

Cold Springs drops to 0-9 with the loss and will be back on the road next week to face county rival Vinemont in the season finale.
