CULLMAN, Ala. – Each Tuesday, there is a storytime held at 10:00 a.m. at the Cullman County Public Library. This week, guest speaker Ms. Suhana read books “1, 2, Buckle My Shoes” by Anna Grossnickle Hines and “1, 2, 3 Thanksgiving!” by W. Nikola-Lisa and illustrated by Robin Kramer.

Ms. Suhana also brought several coloring sheets with paints to allow the preschoolers to paint their own fall colors. The sheets were geared towards helping the children further develop skills in counting, and dexterity by handling small brushes.

Ms. Suhana shared on her experiences working with both Cullman County Public Library and Hanceville Library, “My daughter was really young, and I used to bring her here all the time. Now I try to be here or in Hanceville at least once a month.”

The children circled around Ms. Suhana in their chairs as she started to read aloud and began to happily count the interactive illustrations along with her.

Librarian Shannon Berse shared, “The kids know Ms. Suhana, and it is always a great experience once we get everyone ready and settled. Storytime is always a favorite.”
