Berlin Town Council addresses two recent vacancies

BERLIN, Ala. – The Berlin Town Council Meeting was held on Monday evening and began with the declaration of two vacancies on the Council.

Mayor Patrick Bates stated, “Jimbo Quick’s seat is now vacant, as he has moved out of the area. And, of course, Bruce Bentley, his seat is vacant with his sudden passing on the 3rd in a tragic car accident.”

The Council also reviewed FY 2022’s budget. With discussions on possible opportunities for grants to be put towards a walking trail or community area.

The Berlin Town budget is under review and will be voted on at the next meeting.

The Berlin Town Council meets the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Berlin Community Center. The public is invited to attend.
