GOOD HOPE, Ala. — The Alabama Secretary of State’s Office will have a mobile unit at Good Hope City Hall, 135 Municipal Drive in Good Hope, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 23 to register voters and offer free photo voter ID cards. Cullman County residents can register on-site or update their registration information.

The mobile unit will be in Winston County Wednesday morning, from 10 a.m.-noon at Haleyville City Hall, 911 21st Street in Haleyville.

“We’re hopeful we can get some more people out there, and hopefully get them registered before the next election cycle,” said Grace Newcombe, director of communications and governmental relations for the Secretary of State’s Office.

According to Newcombe, the mobile unit visits each county in the state at least once per year for registration and ID drives, with additional opportunities for areas with larger populations.

Newcombe said, “Cullman is a rather large county, as you know. We do visit each county at least once, but the bigger counties we’ll visit a few times each year.”
