CULLMAN, Ala. – During the morning of May 12, it was brought to the attention of the Cullman High School administration that a CHS student may have a weapon in his/her book bag. In conjunction with the School Resource Officer, the CHS administration acted quickly to secure the identified student and book bag.

After a brief investigation, it was determined that this was a false report which stemmed from inaccurate information. There was never any weapon in the student’s possession or on campus.

“This situation was handled swiftly due to the awareness and reporting of CHS students and employees,” superintendent Kyle Kallhoff said. “Just as in today’s situation, it is always important that rumors or accusations such as this be reported immediately to staff and administration so they can be assessed.”
CHS Principal Kim Hall added, “We are thankful for the quick and efficient work of our School Resource Office and staff in quickly investigating and dispelling this rumor.”
