FAIRVIEW, Ala. – After splitting a pair of games against Randolph on Saturday, Fairview hosted Brindlee Mountain in a doubleheader on senior night. In game one, the Lady Aggies routed the Lady Lions, 21-8, behind huge games at the plate from Kyleigh Aleman and Deavan Fulmer.

After Ayda Payne retired Brindlee Mountain to open up the game, Fairview batted around in their half as they sent 13 batters to the plate. Kyleigh Aleman scored on an error to put the Lady Aggies on the scoreboard, then Kloie Watson stole home. Fulmer and Kaitlyn Benson each hit back-to-back RBI doubles, Payne hit an RBI groundout, Emily Benson and Kyleigh Aleman hit consecutive RBI doubles, Aleman scored on an error and Fulmer finished off the scoring with an RBI single and Fairview went into the second inning up, 9-0.

The Lady Lions answered right back in the top of the second, with the biggest blow coming on a grand slam and that made it a 9-7 game. But Fairview countered with a huge inning of their own as Emily Benson hit an RBI single, then Kyleigh Aleman crushed a three-run home run over the left field fence, Emma Garcia scored on an error and Fulmer put one over the center field fence and the Lady Aggies increased their lead to eight at 15-7. Kyleigh Aleman scored on an error in the bottom of the third to make it 16-7.

An RBI single by Brindlee Mountain in the fourth cut the Lady Aggie lead to 16-8, but Fairview got that run back and then some in their half. Kyleigh Aleman continued her red-hot day at the plate as she hit an RBI single, and Fulmer hit an RBI single of her own to make it 21-8. Kyleigh Aleman went 5-for-5 with five RBIs, hitting for the cycle in the process. Fulmer added four hits and four RBIs. Emily Benson ended up with three hits and three RBIs. Kaitlyn Benson finished with three hits and an RBI in the game. Payne collected an RBI, while Emma Garcia, Roberts, and Jaycee Aleman each ended up with a hit.

Fairview 18 – Brindlee Mountain 3 (Game two)

Fairview picked up from where they left off in the first game as they lit up the scoreboard for 14 first-inning runs. All but two Fairview batters drove in a run in the first and they added another run in the second on a Kylie Kovar sacrifice fly. Brindlee Mountain hit back-to-back RBI doubles in the top of the third to get on the scoreboard, then they added another run later that inning on an error to make it 15-3.

The Lady Aggies looked to end the game in the bottom of the third. Allie Scott and Emily Benson each drew back-to-back walks to lead off the inning, then Kyleigh Aleman lined a two-run triple to right field. After Kloie Watson and Deavan Fulmer drew back-to-back walks to load the bases, Kovar drew another walk to bring home Aleman to end the game as Fairview (11-14) rolled past the Lady Lions in game two, 18-3.
