CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Board of Education (CCBOE), at a special called meeting March 25, approved multiple facility upgrades and set in motion the disposal of two former school buildings to their local communities.
Construction projects
- Vinemont High building flooring replacement contracted to Walker Brothers for $131,191.66
- Holly Pond Elementary library flooring replacement contracted to S & E Carpet & Vinyl for $12,756.33
- Vinemont Elementary library flooring replacement contracted to S & E Carpet & Vinyl for $14,865.88
- West Point Middle library flooring replacement contracted to S & E Carpet & Vinyl for $9,760.22
- West Point High hallway flooring replacement contracted to S & E Carpet & Vinyl for $3,653.28
Property transfers
The board approved the transfers of two schools and campuses no longer in use by the system:
- Old Battleground School property to be transferred to the Battleground School Historical Board
- Old Joppa School property to be transferred to the Joppa Historical Board
