Funeral service for Maxine Whisenhunt, 83, of Cullman will be Monday, March 29, 2021 at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Protestant Church, Rev. Joh Richter officiating. Grandson, Ryan Whisenhunt, will give the eulogy. Interment will follow at Cullman Memory Gardens. Mrs. Whisenhunt will lie in state from 12 noon until 1 p.m.
Mrs. Whisenhunt passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 4, 1937 to Max and Irene Huck. She was a retired secretary and floral designer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luther Whisenhunt; and sister, Carolyn Huck.
Survivors include a son, Mark (Wendy) Whisenhunt; a daughter, Rosemary (David) Herge; a sister, Evelyn (Bobby) Edison; seven grandchildren: Lindsey (Wesley) Slaton, Mallory Whisenhunt, Zachary (Kyria) Whisenhunt, Ryan Whisenhunt, Emily (Isaac) Eady, Lukas (Jessica) Hagood, and Lydia (Justin) Nichols; fourteen Great Grandchildren; and a host of Nieces and Nephews and other family.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Johns’s Evangelical Protestant Church.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Moss Service Funeral Home.
