WEST POINT, Ala. – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash along the 12000 block of Alabama Highway 157 North, near J&D Tire and the intersection with County Road 1224, Saturday morning at approximately 11 a.m.

Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick identified the victim as Christine Willingham, 82, of Falkville.

Alabama State Troopers said Willingham was fatally injured when the 2014 Ford Taurus she was operating was struck by a 1998 Jeep Cherokee. Willingham failed to yield the right away at a stop sign and was struck by the Jeep Cherokee on her driver’s side door. Willingham was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Jeep Cherokee’s driver and two juvenile occupants, who were not using their seat belts, were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Nothing further is available as the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
