James Danny (J.D.) Lancaster of Cullman, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020 at the age of 78. He was born June 10, 1942, in Sylacauga, Alabama to Bessie Mae (Lindsey) and Johnnie Henderson Lancaster.
James Danny was preceded in death by both of his parents and two brothers Joel Lancaster and Johnnie Lancaster.
He is survived by his daughter Jamie (Jacob) Marlowe; son Cody (Ashley) Lancaster; and grandsons Jackson, Jace, Jonas, and Lucas Lancaster.
J.D. was a graduate of Fairview High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Samuel N. Moore DD-747 from 1960-1963. He continued to serve his country until retirement in 2004 working on military aircraft.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date by the family. Moss Service Funeral Home is assisting the family.
