Dewies Anthony Benson, 74, of Arley entered into rest Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
Dewies was born Dec. 19, 1945. He was a good family man, who loved his family, especially his kids and grandkids. He loved people and felt blessed for every day he was able to enjoy life and loved being outside with his dog.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020 at Meek Baptist Church from 1-3 p.m., where the service will begin at 3 p.m. Brother Kerry Cleghorn and Brother Corey Cochran will officiate. Burial will follow in Arley Congregational Church Cemetery.
Dewies is survived by his wife of 48 ½ years, Sharon; sons Jake and his wife Brigette and Patrick and Debra; grandsons Jagger, Jarrett, and Aiden; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Iman and Clera Benson.
