Truman E. “Bim” Cole, 86, of Cullman passed away Sept. 19 after a brief illness.
He is preceded in death by his parents Volena and Bill Cole and sisters Doris Pair and Sue Blandenburg.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ruth Marie Cole; son Kip Cole; daughter-in-law Kimberly Everett; granddaughter Yasmin James; great-granddaughter Amelia James; and beloved dog Gizmo.
Bim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was an avid hunter, frog gigger and unrepentant jokester. Whenever asked how he was doing, his standard response was “I’ve been better, but it cost me more.”
Graveside services are Saturday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Fairview. Masks will be provided.
