Eugene Miller, 85, of Double Springs passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020 at Hendrix Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 17, 1935 to Columbus Garfield and Lillie Bell Miller.
Eugene was a Baptist minister.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill #1 in Houston. Brother C.R. Hood will officiate.
Eugene is survived by his son Mike Miller; daughters Paula (John) Hill and Gennie (Rodney) Garrison; step-daughter Mayrene Martin; sister Josephine Flanagan; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and his extended family at Hendrix Health Care and Rehabilitation who called him “Big Paw Paw.”
He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Easter Miller; daughter Shelia Hood; granddaughter Lisa Flanagan; parents Columbus and Lillie Bell Miller; brothers Oliver Miller, R.C. Miller, Henry Miller, Wendell Miller, Johnny Miller, and an infant brother; and sister Willodean Smith.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Frost, Jonathan Flanagan, Chuck Stiffler, Ace Phoenix, Michael Boone, Michael Jones, Zachary Hernandez, Heath Overton, and Ryder Andrews.
