Graveside services for Ruth E. Garner, 92, of Garden City will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 20 at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville with Reverend Fred Rivers officiating. Hanceville Funeral Home directing. Ruth’s family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m.
The daughter of L.T. and Pearl Hudson Cobb was born in Hanceville May 31, 1928.
She was the widow of the late William Garner.
She leaves behind daughters Elaine (Richard) Queen of Cullman and Ann (Gerald) Alvis of Huntsville; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and brother James Cobb of Garden City.
Preceding her in death were son Arthur Garner, Jr. and brother Oneal Cobb.
