Mr. Barfoot lived in Hanceville, Alabama and passed away suddenly at the age of 62. He was born in Healdsburg, California to Jack Wayne and Virginia “Ginnie” (Enlow) Barfoot Aug. 8, 1957. He was also a truck driver for River Valley Ingredients in Hanceville.

Mr. Barfoot was a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Above all, he had a love for his savior Jesus Christ. He was a veteran who had a tremendous love for his country. He served 22 years in the Army National Guard, retiring from his position as sergeant in 2003.

He loved to hunt and fish. He loved nature and the beauty of God’s creation. Family was reluctant to eat his cooking. You never knew what surprise he added to it. He was caught several times adding turtle, emu, beaver, squirrel and rabbit. He was kindhearted. He would give you the shirt off of his back or his last dollar if you needed it. He was quick to lend a hand whenever needed, to family and friends.

Mr. Barfoot is survived by his mother Virginia Barfoot Franklin; wife of 25 years, Susie (Burney) Barfoot; daughters Ashley (Eric) Wilhite-White of Hanceville, Amanda Callahan and Holland Branden both of Idaho; sons Adam (Shelby McDonald) Barfoot of Hanceville, Danny Barfoot of Idaho, and Robert Barfoot of Nevada; grandchildren Cierra White, Daniella White, and Jaxon White; sisters Susan (Joey) D’Andrea, Karen Barfoot, Gina Barfoot Sellers, and Julie (Eddie) Burks; sisters-in-law Nancy (Sam) Tyree and Sharon (Doyle) Partain; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Enlow; father- and mother-in-law C.J. and Agnes Burney; brother-in-law Gerry Burney; grandson Dell Allen Wilhite; and step-father Ronnie Franklin.
