Private graveside service for Wendell Frank Sams, 79, of Holly Pond will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Holly Pond Cemetery.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Sams passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 at his residence. He was born Aug. 1, 1940 to Jesse and Leula Stewart Sams. He was a member of Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church in Blount County.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Inez Sams; 13 brothers and sisters; and son-in-law Mark Martinez.
Survivors include his son Eric (Pam) Sams; daughters Christy Martinez and Angela (James) Marchman; sisters Annie McCoy and Janie Bates; grandchildren Shelby Martinez, Brooke Marchman, and Jacob (Kaylee) Marchman; great-grandchildren Bentley Martinez, Aylin Teichmiller, and Maisie Marchman; family and friends.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
