It is with great sadness that the family of Bill Buck Thompson, Jr. announces his passing Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the age of 76.
He was born June 16, 1943 to Bill Thompson, Sr. and Mary Jennings Thompson.
Bill worked for Associated Groceries for 44-plus years. He loved fishing and spending time on the lake. He was known for his peach trees and would share the peaches with all of his neighbors. He always had a vegetable garden consisting of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. Bill loved sitting in his recliner and would jokingly say he was “holding it down.”
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife of 21 years Mary Sharlotte Thompson and second wife of 21 years Nancy Kay Thompson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved Punkin; children Dawn (David) Ewing, Mechele (John) Medina and Michael Lee (Shannon) Thompson; grandchildren Dene (Ben) Gulde, Danielle (Chad) Diggers, Dana (Ryan) Davis, Destiny (Luis) Acevedo, Paco (Krista) Medina, Cody (Charlene) Medina, Erin Medina, KC Medina and Noah Medina; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Bill Buck Thompson will be held in the chapel of Moss Service Funeral Home Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 2 p.m. His family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday starting at noon until service time.
