Mary Ellen Thomas, 81, of Prattville entered into rest Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 at her home.
Ms. Thomas was born April 5, 1938. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama and had a master’s degree in education. She worked as an auditor for the Alabama State Department of Education before her retirement. Ms. Thomas enjoyed quilting and cross stitch.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, Jan.26, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs. Brother J.D. Snoddy will officiate.
Ms. Thomas is survived by her brother Clarence Thomas, Jr.; sister Margaret Plyler; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Blanche Thomas; sister Jane Morgan; and nephew David Holley.
