BAILEYTON, Ala. – The Community Action Partnership of North Alabama will be at Baileyton Town Hall this Thursday, Jan. 9 beginning at 9 a.m. to sign qualifying residents up for heating assistance.

From CAPNA:

“The Baileyton Energy Assistance outreach event is for our senior customers (60 and over) only. Senior outreach events are scheduled each season to ease the challenges our seniors have in traveling to our office site on Second Avenue NE in Cullman.

“All others in need of energy assistance may visit our website at www.capna.org or, in Cullman County, call our Cullman Office at 256-734-5170 for more information.”

Those wishing to apply for assistance should bring the following documents:

  • 2019 income statement
  • Driver’s license or photo ID
  • Social Security card for each person in the household
  • Most recent utility bill

“If there are working-age adults in the household that don’t work, they need an affidavit stating they don’t have an income, said Baileyton Town Clerk Patricia Gilbert, who stressed, “It must be the 2019 income statement and not the 2020.”

For questions regarding eligibility, contact the Community Action Partnership of North Alabama at 256-734-5170 or visit northalabamacommunities.org.
