John Roscoe Cox, 77, of Cullman, passed away Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019. He was born Sept. 14, 1942 to James Franklin and Lenabell Ross Cox, in Aspen, Tennessee.
John was a truck driver by trade. He drove for multiple companies in a career that spanned over 53 years.
Mr. Cox is preceded in death by his parents James Franklin and Lenabell Ross Cox and sister Melba Juannel Howard.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Cox; sons Jeff (Kylia) Cox, Donald Stanaway, Richard Stanaway, Douglas (Tiffany) Kinley, Jerry Kinley, William Kinley and Adam Kinley; daughters Dona Cox, Sandy (Shane) Gass and Desteny (Brandon) Cox; sister June Cox; over 50 grandchildren; more than 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Cox are at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019 with Pastor Hermon Lambert and Pastor Richard officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Pond Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 4-7 p.m. in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel.
