Friday, Nov. 22


Vinemont Band Booster Craft Show

The Vinemont Band Booster Craft Show will be held Friday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Cullman Civic Center. Admission is free and everyone is invited. For more information, call Miranda Reeves at 256-841-5803 or 256-531-6509.


Grinch Party at the Cullman County Public Library

7-8 p.m. Join us at the library for crafts, games, prizes, hot chocolate, and reading of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”


The Nutcracker: Clara’s Dream

When: Friday and Saturday, Nov. 22-23, 7 p.m.

Where: Betty Leeth Haynes Theatre at Wallace State Community College

Who: Presented by the Wallace State Allegro Dance Theatre

Why: Presentation of a portion of the classic holiday ballet. Cast includes core group of Wallace State dance students as well as community members.

Admission: $10


Saturday, Nov. 23


Bake Sale

A bake sale sponsored by the Holly Pond Homemakers Club will be Saturday, Nov. 23 at Holly Pond Town Hall, from 8 a.m. until items are sold out.


Meek Market

The Meek High School PTO and Student Council will sponsor Meek Market Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Meek High School Gymnasium. A wide variety of merchandise will be available from vendors selling arts and crafts, jewelry, candles, baked goods, boutique clothing, home decor, and other items that would make wonderful Christmas presents. For lunch, make sure to stop in and pick up your choice of soup made by Beth McLarty. A bowl of soup, cornbread or crackers, a cookie, and a drink will be $5. Santa Claus will also be visiting so be sure to bring the kids! All proceeds from the event will support the PTO and student council.

Fairview Community Thanksgiving Meal and Harvest Carnival

noon-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Fairview, 1022 Welcome Road


Christmas in Cullman Parade & Tree-Lighting

Make plans to join us Saturday, Nov. 23 for our downtown parade, the lighting of Cullman’s Christmas tree, a free kids’ experience at Santa’s Workshop and so much more! You don’t want to miss out on this exciting way to kick off the holidays in the community!

  • Christkindlmarkt and Santa’s Workshop- noon at Cullman Festhalle
  • Free photos with Santa, 3 p.m.
  • Christmas Parade- 6 p.m., down First Avenue from the Busy Bee Cafe to Depot Park
  • Tree Lighting- 7 p.m., Depot Park

Free Thanksgiving Community Dinner

2-4 p.m. at Spirit Life Church of God, 1650 St. Joseph Dr. NW, Cullman

All are welcome!    


Clara’s Tea Party

When: 4 p.m.

Where: Burrow Center for the Fine and Performing Arts

Who: Presented by the Wallace State Allegro Dance Theatre

Admission: $40 per person


Annual Turkey Bazaar 2019

Hosted by the Knights of Columbus of Sacred Heart Church, 5-9 p.m. in the Family Life Center of the church.

Prizes will include turkeys, hams, chickens, ham and eggs, candy and more. Attendees are asked to bring quarters for the quick exchange of tickets and money for the numerous games of chance. Change will be available during the rolling of the wheel.

An all-you-can eat spaghetti dinner will be served for $8 for adults, $4 per child or $20 per family of parents and children under 18. Tickets for supper will be available at the door.


Pig Bowl 2019

Cullman Police Department v. Cullman County Sheriff’s Office charity flag football game

Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.

Oliver Woodard Stadium at Cullman High School

Admission $5, proceeds going to CPD and CCSO charities

Halftime contests will give away free wings for a year from Buffalo Wild Wings and a Field and Stream deluxe treestand from Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Thanks-Giving Dinner for Veterans

Monday, Nov. 25, noon- 7 p.m. at the Brandin Iron Steakhouse, 87 County Road 1242, Cullman, AL 35057

Give thanks to those who have sacrificed so much. Saving Forgotten Warriors and The Brandin Iron (West Point) are teaming up to treat our communities’ American heroes to a Thanksgiving dinner, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Sponsor a veteran for $10- gives him/her and his/her immediate family dinner Monday, Nov. 25, 2019 at the Brandin Iron from noon-7 p.m.!
