Christopher Wayne Olinger, 45, of Cullman passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019. Chris was born Dec. 23, 1973 to Larry Olinger and Pamela Vones Ashley.
Chris was a craftsman and worked in the construction industry. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. But more importantly, Chris adored his children and loved being their dad.
Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents Sherman and Pearl Olinger and JD and Iva Vones; step-grandfather Charles Beatty; and nephew Harrison Olinger.
He is survived by his father Larry Wayne (Vickey) Olinger; mother Pamela Jean (Michael) Ashley; grandmother Reba Beatty; special friend Jamie Curvin; son Jaxon Olinger; daughters RaeLeigh Olinger, Anna Olinger and Ava Olinger; brother Brian (Stacie) Olinger; step-sisters JoAnn Stephens, Denise Arnold and Misty Snell; niece Shelbie Olinger; and nephew Sawyer Olinger.
Funeral services for Mr. Olinger are at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019 in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Keith Hodges and Pastor Shane Hicks officiating. Chris Ralph, Rodney Lee, Eric Johnson, Shane Burns, Jason Tucker, and Brian Jackson will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to service on Sunday, from noon until the service begins at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery.
