RANBURNE, Ala. – After playing their way into the postseason at the tail end of the regular season, the 2019 campaign officially ended for the Cold Springs Eagles Friday night as they fell to Ranburne on the road 44-0.

The Eagles fell behind 7-0 early in the opening quarter and a fumble allowed the Bulldogs to quickly make it 14-0. Ranburne found the end zone again to go up 21-0 before another quick score put the Bulldogs on top 27-0 by the end of the first quarter. Cold Springs tightened up in the second quarter, allowing just one score but still went into the locker room trailing 34-0 at the half.

Ranburne tacked on another touchdown in the third to go up 41-0 and maintained that lead for most of the second half before a field goal in the fourth quarter brought the final score to 44-0 and ended the season for the Eagles.

Cold Springs will graduate nine seniors from this year’s team and will look to make another postseason run when they hit the field again in 2020.
