CULLMAN, Ala. – The Tribune welcomes Andrea Hudson from the Cullman County Animal Shelter, who is joining our Pet of the Week partnership, and we thank Donna Ruttkay for the outstanding service she has given to our project and to the shelter’s canine clients.

Hudson introduces the Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week:

Impy is a 3-year-old Heeler mix.  He’s a laid-back, low-energy pet who, according to Hudson, “will be your best friend for life once he gains your trust. He has a sweet and caring demeanor and will win your heart in an instant.”

Impy has the makings of an emotional support or companion dog.

Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s dogs have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.

Impy’s adoption fee is $90 which includes: DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, neutering, microchip, free 30-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).

Please consider adopting, to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.
