Obituary: Destiny Michelle Lee

Destiny Michelle Lee (“Dayday”), 19, passed away tragically Oct. 31, 2019. She was born Oct. 18, 2000 in Houston, TX and was a lifelong resident.

Destiny was a 2019 graduate of Jersey Village High School, where she was a member of Key Club, student council and Pals Peer Monitoring where she was a big sister. She was attending Lone Star Community College, studying to go to Texas State University next fall to pursue her path to be a doctor. Destiny had a genuine soul like no other and could light up a room with just a smile-she was always the life of the party. She cared deeply for other people and was a great friend to many. We will miss our baby girl to no end, but we know she is in the Lord’s hands. We love you and you will forever be in our hearts.

Destiny is proceeded in death by her great-great grandmother, Margaret “MawMaw” Bolan; great-grandmother, Janice Foster; and great-grandmother, Lezetta “Little Mama” Smith.

Destiny is survived by her grandparents, Hallie “Ranny” and Barbara Lott; her mother, Misty Lott; father, Quincey Lee; sisters, Christina Lott and Makiyah Martin; grandmothers, Carmen Vandiver and Marilyn Steptoe; grandfather, Alvin Lee; aunts, Meagan Faught (James Allen), Brandi Faught, and Lurea Steptoe; uncles, Joshua Lott (Heather Lott) and Corey Steptoe. Also, numerous family members and many friends.

Visitation and services in Houston, TX will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at United Church of God, 20737 Bronze Road, Humble, TX 77338. Services start at 7 p.m. 

Visitation in Holly Pond, AL will be held Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019 from 5-9 p.m. at Holly Pond Funeral Home, 161 Brooklyn Road, Holly Pond, AL 35083.

Services will be held at Holly Pond Funeral Home Friday, Nov. 8, 2019 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery, County Road 1742, Holly Pond, AL 35083.
