Classes 2A, 6A and 7A were on the court for area tournaments Tuesday night and all three local squads in action will be moving on to the next stage of the postseason. The Addison Lady Bulldogs swept both Sulligent and Winston County to win this year’s 2A Area 13 Tournament and both the Cold Springs Lady Eagles and Cullman Lady Bearcats finished as runners up in their respective area tournaments, earning spots at the North Super Regional Tournament in Huntsville this Friday.
2A Area 12 Tournament
Cold Springs 3 – West End 2 (21-25, 15-25, 25-17, 25-12, 15-5)
Cold Springs 1 – Southeastern 3 (20-25, 22-25, 25-23, 22-25)
2A Area 13 Tournament
Addison 3 – Sulligent 0 (25-7, 25-4, N/A)
Addison 3 – Winston County 0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-15)
6A Area 14 Tournament
Cullman 3 – Decatur 0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-12)
Cullman 0 – Hartselle 3 (16-25, 16-25, 18-25)
Addison, Cold Springs and Cullman will join Fairview, Meek, Holly Pond, Vinemont and West Point as local teams in the field at this week’s North Super Regional Tournament in Huntsville.
