James was born June 13, 1955 to the late Walter and Madgie Dotson Stephenson and passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019 at his residence.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lattona Stephenson; and one brother, Phillip Stephenson.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Patsy Overton Stephenson; five daughters, Kizma Denise (Brian) Maddox, Amber Nicole (Jason) Bottorff, Mesha (Cody) McNabb, Salishia Ynette (Joel) Needham and Jadrian Wyann (Julie) Stephenson; brother George Lee Stephenson; and eight grandchildren, Aidan, Tessa, Lexie, Kenzie, Owen, Axton, Zack & Tapanga.
