Jerell Denton Box, 81, of Addison passed away Aug. 15, 2019 at his home.
Jerell was born March 16, 1938 in Lawrence County, TN. He loved his dogs, horses, mules, gardening and watching his many hummingbirds.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Nesmith Church, with a graveside committal prayer to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Pastor Steton Hayes will officiate.
Jerell is survived by his son, Eric Box; sisters-in-law, Fran Pierce and Ethel Lee Box Lindley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mavis Box; parents, Amos and Ola Box; brothers, Bobby, Ray and AJ Box; sister, Virginia Box Dollar; and brothers-in-law, Jack Dollar, Levis Pierce; and, sister-in-law, Velda Voyt.
