CULLMAN, Ala. – Chipotle Mexican Grill is coming to Cullman. The restaurant will be located in the old Bojangles’ building at 1821 Cherokee Ave. SW across from Chick-fil-A.

“Chipotle has executed a lease and (begun) renovations on the former Bojangles’ building. We do not have an exact opening date yet, but officials say it will be at some point this fall,” said Cullman Economic Development Agency Project Coordinator Susan Eller.

“After years of conversations with Chipotle, we are so glad to see they chose to do a store in Cullman. They will be a welcomed new fast casual option for this market,” shared Jeff Sommers, portfolio director, Retail Strategies.

From Chipotle: “When Chipotle first opened, the idea was simple: show that food served fast didn’t have to be a ‘fast-food’ experience. We use high-quality raw ingredients and classic cooking methods, serve in a distinctively designed atmosphere, and provide an exceptional customer experience—features more frequently found in the world of fine dining.”

The Bojangles’ building has been empty since Feb. 2018 when franchisee JAX’s Alabama Bo, LLC. closed the restaurant without warning.
