Obituary: John Albert Bolzle

Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 26, 2019 for Mr. John Albert Bolzle.

Mr. Bolzle was born on Dec. 27, 1945 in Cullman, Alabama and died peacefully at Bayside Community Hospital in Anahuac, Texas, after an extended illness on May 19, 2019.

He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor. He was involved with activities such as Boy Scouts of America, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Moose Lodge of Cullman. He had a long, fulfilling career having worked over 40 years for The Blocher Company, from which he retired in 2017.

He was preceded in death by his father, John F. Bolzle, and his mother, Lydia (Grigsby) Bolzle.

Mr. Bolzle leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Willodean (Murphree) Bolzle; two children, Robin (Waylon) Lesly and Jonathan Bolzle; and two grandchildren, Christopher J. Myers and William Lesly.

He also leaves behind his siblings, Mary Ellenburg, James (Erlene) Bolzle, Martha Hankey Wright, and Walter (Connie) Bolzle, along with a host of loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home, 255 County Road 1435, Cullman, from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, with services immediately following in the Funeral Chapel.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to The American Cancer Society or The Boy Scouts of America.
