Wiggins climbs to top of leaderboard after record-setting day on Smith Lake

CULLMAN, Ala. – Jesse Wiggins is sitting in first place in Group B of the Major League Fishing (MLF) Bass Pro Tour Stage 5 after Wednesday’s shotgun round on Smith Lake, and he got there by shattering a Major League Fishing record.

Wiggins reeled in 49 scorable bass during his first day on the water, racking up 72lbs. 4 oz to take a comfortable lead going into the elimination rounds Thursday and Friday.
