Dorothy Jean Tidwell, 86, of Hanceville, AL was born on March 23, 1933 and passed away on April 3, 2019.
Mrs. Tidwell enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy.
Preceding her in death were her parents Echols Burnett and Lillian Burnett Dearen; husband Riley Tidwell; brother James Echols Burnett; sister Lillian Leolia Cherry; daughter Dianne Rogers Tidwell and son Alan Riley Tidwell.
Survivors include her children Elaine Sweeney (Greg), Elizabeth Swimelar (John), Bonnie Gilbert, Cheryl Tidwell and Carl Tidwell; 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on April 6, 2019 in the Chapel of Lemley Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Cherry officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeremy Tidwell, Josh Tidwell, Jason Terry, Matthew Tidwell, Joey Tidwell and Keary Smith.
