Linda Holcombe, 68, of Dothan, entered into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019. She was born Jan. 15, 1951, to Dee F and Ester Montgomery Holcombe.

Linda was a child of Christ and was baptized at Redan Baptist Church. She was a member of the Holly Pond Class of ’69. At a young age, Ms. Holcombe entered the Army and served our country honorably. We appreciate her service to our country. Linda had a servant heart and volunteered her time and talents often. She delivered meals to those in need and was always helping with community events. Linda was very creative and loved to use her skills to serve others. Ms. Holcombe was a very active Boy Scout mother when her son was a child, and served as a troop leader for his troop. Linda’s kindness and love for others was apparent, but she also loved her family. She was a very proud and loving mother and grandmother. Her passing brings sorrow to many.

Ms. Holcombe is preceded in death by her parents, Dee F. and Ester Holcombe; and a grandchild, Cameron Weaver.

She is survived by a son, Russell Weaver; daughter, Cynthia (Jonathan) Grice; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn King, Michael King, Devon Weaver; brothers, Ed (Connie) Holcombe, Monroe (Carole) Holcombe, Dwight (Debra) Holcombe; sisters, Rita Chambers, and Dee Ann (Howard) Uhlman.

Graveside services for Ms. Holcombe are 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at Holly Pond Cemetery.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is honored to serve the Holcombe family.
