According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease accounts for nearly 836,546 deaths per year in the U.S. That’s about 1 of every 3 deaths in the U.S. Heart disease remains the no. 1 cause of death in the country. Cullman Regional’s screenings offer opportunities to check your risk for heart disease and more.

Screenings include the following for all participants at no charge:

  • Lipid panel
  • Body Mass Index
  • EKG (electrocardiogram)

“The goal of these screenings is to help community members identify any potential risk factors they may have in order to reduce their risk for heart disease,” said Lindsey Dossey, vice president of marketing & community outreach. “We want to help our community catch potential risks and get them under control before it becomes an emergency.”
