Mr. Arlin H. “Smitty” Smith of Cullman passed away on December 30, 2018 at the age of 92. He was born on February 23, 1926 to Raymond and Vollie Butts Smith.
Mr. Smith was a decorated veteran of World War II and he was a carpenter and he helped build the children’s home in Jacksonville Florida and he also had a large part in the building of Temple Baptist Church in Cullman.
Funeral services are Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Temple Baptist Church with Rev.’s Malcolm Carter and Wilford McCormick officiating. Interment will follow in South Cemetery in Blount County. Survivors are: wife Edna Smith, sons Andy Joe Smith, Gary Smith, step-son Jeff Burks, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation is Friday at Temple Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until service time.
