The West Point Lady Warriors (SB) finished 1-2-1 in the Snead State Tournament on Friday and Saturday; they fell 6-3 to Sumiton Christian and won the next game, 7-3 over Albertville, before tying Danville at 6-all to finish the day on Friday. They finished the tournament falling, 6-2, to Plainview to go to 2-8-2 on the season and will travel to Albertville on Monday.
The Good Hope boys and girls weightlifting teams won the 4A state tournament. Trevor Pace won his class in power lifting. Matt Schwaiger and Austin Cordes also won individual awards. Jackson Hancock (2nd), Hudson Leverett (2nd), Briley Maddox (2nd), Taylor McClure (2nd), Bailey Swann (2nd), Emma Brock (2nd), Kate Kent (3rd) and Cameron Twilley (3rd) all placed in the tournament. The Good Hope Fishing Team won the Alabama Student Angler Bass Fishing Association tournament on Lake Martin Saturday. Raiders Landon Graham and Bobbi Johnson won Top Finisher Freedom Marine boat, earning a $1,000 scholarship from Freedom Marine.
