2nd annual Buffalo Wild Wings High School Christmas Challenge starts today

HANCEVILLE – Wallace State men’s basketball is hosting the 2nd annual Buffalo Wild Wings Christmas Challenge beginning today, Wednesday, at Tom Drake Coliseum.

The two-day event features 18 high schools from the state, both boys' and girls' teams, including a handful of ranked teams and familiar visitors to the Northwest Regional tournament each year at Wallace State.

At halftime of each game, one fan will be selected to attempt a half-court shot for a chance to win wings for a year, courtesy of Buffalo Wild Wings in Cullman.

Wednesday, Dec. 20

10 a.m. – Cleveland vs. Colbert County (girls)

11:20 a.m. – Hanceville vs. Cleveland (boys)

12:40 p.m. – Sparkman vs. Tuscaloosa County (girls)

2 p.m. – Appalachian vs. Whitesburg Christian (boys)

3:20 p.m. – Winston County vs. Alabama Christian Academy (boys)

4:40 p.m. – Coosa Christian vs. Tanner (boys)

6 p.m. – Fairview vs. Mobile Christian Academy (boys)

7:20 p.m. – Ramsay vs. Demopolis (boys)

8:40 p.m. – Cullman vs. Hayden (boys)


Thursday, Dec. 21

11 a.m. – Mortimer Jordan vs. Colbert County (girls)

12:20 p.m. – ‘Traditional’ bracket consolation (boys)

1:40 p.m. – ‘Wingin’ it’ bracket consolation (boys)

3 p.m. – ‘Boneless’ bracket consolation (boys)

4:20 p.m. – ‘Traditional’ bracket championship (boys)

5:40 p.m. – ‘Wingin’ it’ bracket championship (boys)

7 p.m. – ‘Boneless’ bracket championship (boys)
