CULLMAN – The Cullman Tribune has kicked of the first of what it hopes will be an annual Christmastime drive for the Cullman County Animal Shelter and the Cullman Area Animal Welfare Association (CAAWA). Donations are being accepted at The Tribune office, 219 Second Ave. SE, from now through Dec. 31. The goal is to fill up the front of the office around the Christmas tree (see photo).

Help us help animals!

Cullman County Animal Shelter wish list

  • paper towels
  • cat litter (non-scented, the cheaper the better, in great need)
  • bleach
  • disinfectant wipes
  • dish soap
  • laundry powder (in great need)

CAAWA wish list

  • collars, medium to large
  • leashes
  • Kong toys, or any durable toys
  • Purina Puppy Chow
  • Hay or pine shavings from Tractor Supply
  • dog crates, Medium to Large
  • Any gift cards to either Tractor Supply or PetSmart

Donations may be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m. until noon. The office will be closed on Christmas Day.
